Windows Explorer

Here is the differences between Internet Explorer and Windows Explorer

  • Internet Explorer - Allows you to browse the internet, read email, download items
  • Windows Explorer - Allows you to view the files and folders that is on your hard drive, CD-ROM drive or other media

There is a couple of ways to access windows explorer. Choose your operating system

Windows 7 and older

Windows 8

 

Windows 7 and older

First method

  1. Open Accessories
  2. Click Windows Explorer

 

Second method

Windows XP

  1. Right click Start
  2. Click Explore
  rightclickstart.jpg  

 

Windows Vista

  1. Right-click Orb

  2. Click Explore

   

 

Windows 7

  1. Right-click Orb

  2. Click Open Windows Explorer

   

 

Third method

  1. Access Run or Search window

  2. Type Windows Explorer

  3. Click OK

 

Windows 8

Click the Disk icon on the Taskbar
