CPU runs Excessively after installing Vista

If your system meets the requirements of Vista do the following

  1. Press CTRL-ALT-DELETE
  2. Click Start Task Manager
  3. Select Process tab to view all currently running processes (or programs)
  4. click the CPU column heading to organize the processes by the amount of CPU resources they are consuming
  5. If you discover a process that is using a high percentage of CPU or memory resources, try to determine if the program is necessary. If it is not necessary, try disabling it from running automatically.
  6. If the program is required, then see if there is a patch for the program or if there is a better program for your needs.
