CPU runs Excessively after installing Vista
If your system meets the requirements of Vista do the following
- Press CTRL-ALT-DELETE
- Click Start Task Manager
- Select Process tab to view all currently running processes (or programs)
- click the CPU column heading to organize the processes by the amount of CPU resources they are consuming
- If you discover a process that is using a high percentage of CPU or memory resources, try to determine if the program is necessary. If it is not necessary, try disabling it from running automatically.
- If the program is required, then see if there is a patch for the program or if there is a better program for your needs.
