Flash.ocx Error

This is caused by a screen saver. You can either get rid of the screensaver or create the flash.ocx file. to create the flash.ocx file, do the following.

  1. Right-click Start
  2. Click Explore
  3. Click on Tools
  4. Click on Folder Options
  5. Click the View tab
  6. Uncheck Hide extensions for known file types
  7. place the dot on Show hidden files and folders
  8. Click Apply
  9. Click OK
  10. Double-click Local Disk (C:)
  11. Double-click Windows
  12. Double-click System32
  13. Double-click Macromed
  14. Double-click Flash
  15. Right-click flash9.ocx
  16. Click on Copy
  17. Click Edit
  18. Click Paste
  19. Right-click "Copy of Flash9.ocx"
  20. Click Rename
  21. Rename Copy of Flash9.ocx to Flash.ocx
  22. Click on Tools
  23. Click on Folder Options
  24. Click the View tab
  25. Check Hide extensions for known file types
  26. place the dot on Do not show hidden files and folders
  27. Click Apply
  28. Click OK
  29. Reboot the computer
