Receive message disk space is low
If you are getting the message that your running low on disk space, below is some steps that you can do. (some steps may not apply to your situation. If this is the case, skip the step)
- Go to Add/Remove Programs and remove unused programs
- Run Disk Cleanup utility
- You can try getting rid of Temporary Internet Files by going to the following
- Windows XP
- Open Windows Explorer
- Unhide hidden folders
- Double-click Drive C
- Double-click Documents and Settings
- Double-click Username (This is the Windows User Name)
- Double-click Local Settings
- Double-click Temp folder
- Delete the contents of this folder

Windows Vista
- Open Windows Explorer
- Unhide hidden folders
- Double-click Drive C
- Double-click Users
- Double-click Username (This is the Windows User Name)
- Double-click APPDATA
- Double-click LOCAL
- Double-click Temp
- Delete the contents of this folder
- In an extreme case, you can disable Hibernate function
- Get an external drive and move your personal files such as pictures, music, documents to the external drive
- If you still cannot get enough space free, you may need to do a reinstall.
