Integrated sound hangs install

You can try the following steps.

Click on the hyperlink for instructions for that step or on for a picture of that step.

If the sound card is integrated, try disabling it in the BIOS until windows is done loading and then turn the sound back on.
Try booting to Safe Mode and disabling sound in Device Manager. If that works then install the sound drivers after windows loads.
Set BIOS to default and clear NVRAM.
Try the sound card in a different slot.
If you have a spare sound card, try it.
Run diagnostic utility (If you have one)
Use the Software Troubleshooter.
