Bang on RAID in Device Manager

Problem:

You go into the Device Manager and notice a bang for the RAID controller and don't know how to get rid of it. Another problem is that your system may be slow.

Cause

You have RAID turned on in the BIOS but RAID is not configured for the system.

Solution

Boot into the BIOS (consult the manual for your system for instructions on using your BIOS)
Turn RAID off
Save settings
Exit BIOS
