Troubleshooting steps

Make sure the wireless is turned on. There is either a button that you push or use the FN key and hit one of the keys on the top row.
Make sure windows has control over the wireless
Turn on Wireless Zero Configuration
Make sure the system is set to pick up the IP address automatically
Make sure you are connecting to the correct SSID
Make sure you are using the correct password (check the capitalization and lowercase)
Uninstall and reinstall the wireless driver (you may have to try this more than once)
Use the Internet Troubleshooter
