To access do the following

Open Personalization
Click Change desktop icons

You can add or remove the following from the Desktop

Computer
User's Files
Network
Recycle Bin
Control Panel

You can change the icon for the following items

This PC
User name (substitute your account name for user name)
Network
Recycle Bin (full)
Recycle Bin (empty)

To change the icon do the following

Select the icon you want to change
Click Change Icon

Select the icon you want to use.
If you do not like what you selected, you can click Restore Default

If you want themes to change the desktop icons, put a check on Allow themes to change desktop icons
