To access do the following

  1. Access System

  2. Click Change settings

   

  1. Click Change

   

 

  • Computer name

    • There cannot be two computers in the network (either on Domain or in Workgroup) with the same name. If two computers have the same name, there will be a conflict

    • You can change the DNS Suffix and Netbios Computer Name by clicking More

  • You can be a member of

    • Domain

      • This is in a business settings. Usually in a server - workstation environment (not always)

      • The name provided here has to be the same (capitalization has to match) on each computer that is a member of this Domain

    • Workgroup

      • This is usually a home or small business environment. This type of network is a peer to peer environment.

      • The name provided here has to be the same (capitalization has to match) on each computer that is a member of this Domain

When you change the computer name, domain, or workgroup, you will have to reboot the system after clicking OK
